Our Story
Astron is a proudly Filipino, family-owned home appliance brand built for the everyday Filipino household.
But our story did not begin with appliances. It began in 1958 with a small fabric and zipper distributorship run by Tomas and his brother. Like many family businesses, they started with hard work, long days, and a simple goal: provide for their family and serve their customers well.
Then in 1971, everything changed. A fire swept through Divisoria and destroyed much of the business they had spent years building. Many would have chosen to stop. Instead, the family chose to start over.
This time, they entered the electronics industry. With just one van, one driver, one technician, and two of Tomas' sons, they began sourcing and distributing radios, phonographs, and audio equipment across the country. They traveled from province to province, visiting local retailers, taking orders themselves, and delivering products themselves.
There were no shortcuts. Only hard work, persistence, and a belief that every challenge could be overcome.
Over the years, the business continued to grow. The family expanded into home appliances, built long-term relationships with dealers across the country, and created opportunities for thousands of employees and business partners along the way.
Then in 2008, Tomas and his nine children took the next step. They launched Astron.
Their vision was simple: To create a home appliance brand that Filipino families could depend on without paying premium prices. The kind of brand they would have wanted in their own home.
That vision continues to guide us today. Because quality appliances should not be out of reach. And the time you save at home should be spent on what matters most: the people you love.
